Personal headcanon: Gaster's more closely related to dragons than skeletons

Yes, he can breathe fire.
More specifically one burst of near-white blue beam at a time. Incredibly destructive, but it's small and easy to evade if you can read the anticipation. Where else do you think the term "Gaster Blaster" comes from? I'll have to animate that later.

No, he doesn't have wings. Ironic, considering his name, but if he had wings, the underground would treat him like their savior!

Yes, he has a tail. Whether it's short and cute or long and threatening is up to you. I prefer the latter, but that's just me.

Um, he more humanoid than anyhting, as is most of the monsters in the underground. If you've ever noticed, some 70 odd percent of monsters in the underground are essentially furries. What difference would it make stylistically if Gaster were a dragon "furry"?

Also, that purple thing is a scythe.
